The Gage Park Carousel is CLOSED for the Season.  We look forward to seeing you in the spring of 2026. 

Punch Passes- 15 rides (Good for Mini-Train or Carousel) - $25 
Punch passes are sold at the Mini-Train Depot or Carousel

Weather Policy- SCP+R has the right to close amenities under inclement weather.   Please call 785-251-6920 and/or 785-251-5468 for confirmation of operations.

Rain/Snow/Ice – 

-Rain: Carousel may continue to operate accordingly- This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. 

-Snow or Ice: Carousel will close for the remainder of the day. 

Storm/Tornado- 

-“Watch”: This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

-'Warning”: Carousel will immediately close all operations for the remainder of the day. 

Thunder and Lightning-

-Thunder and Lightning:  Carousel will cease operations for 30 minutes. This time limit restart every time lightning is seen or thunder is heard. Opening/Closing will be determined on a case-by-case basis.  

Temperatures

If the wind-chill temperature is less than 40 degrees at opening hour, operations will delay until the  wind-chill  temperature reaches a minimum of 40 degrees. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis

-If inclement weather is predicted to last for more than 3 hours of the  operational day, starting at opening, all operations will close for the day.

 -If inclement weather at opening is predicted to last less than 3 hours operations will have a delayed start.

-If inclement weather arrives after the facility has already opened and is predicted to last more than 3 hours of the operational day, all operations will  close for the day.
